In the last two years, cyberattacks in Mexico have increased by 78%, with a weekly average of 3,124 attacks, and losses of almost 230 million pesos in the financial sector, according to the Bank of Mexico. This shows that current security certifications are no longer enough to meet the needs of today's environment.
Against this backdrop, the Payment Card Industry Security Council developed version 4.0 of the PCI-DSS certification, which raises data protection requirements, ensures the availability of operations, and strengthens systems against cybersecurity risks.
Pentafon is the first contact center in Mexico to obtain this certification, which guarantees that its security practices meet the highest international standards. This certification, along with its security ecosystem, provides Pentafon's customers with comprehensive protection tailored to today's challenges.
With PCI-DSS v4.0 certification, Pentafon assures its customers complete protection in today's key security aspects:
Edmundo OlguĂn, Chief Technology Officer of Pentafon, says: "PCI-DSS v4.0 certification is a key step in addressing today's threats and protecting our customers' information. Security is a top priority for Pentafon, and this certification confirms that we have the necessary measures in place to protect their data and operations."
To encourage best practices in cybersecurity, Pentafon will host the Contact Center Cybersecurity Forum on November 6, in collaboration with Botech, the Fintech Association Mexico, and the Mexican Association of Customer Experience. The event will address the main challenges and solutions in cybersecurity for contact centers in Mexico.
PCI-DSS v4.0 certification is a concrete and up-to-date response to today's risks. With this standard, Pentafon reaffirms its commitment to information security and the trust of its customers.
